Designers have gained tremendous influence by demonstrating our impact on key business metrics like support costs, transaction conversions, and ongoing engagement. And yet... organizations with skilled design teams are shipping products that harm users, violate their privacy, or undermine their ability to make informed decisions. How can we keep human-centered values at the center of our practice, even if it`s not fashionable to call it human-centered design anymore?

About

She has been doing user research and design for the last 25 years, leading teams of varying sizes, and teaching design & leadership skills. She led an integrated practice of interaction, visual, and industrial designers as VP & GM at Cooper, where she spent 12 years. As a consultant, she help clients build their capabilities, ranging from workshops and leadership coaching to hands-on leadership roles (such as when I served as VP of Product and User Experience at PatientsLikeMe).
